SkyTender very much welcomes the Target True Zero Initiative recently presented at the World Economic Forum to significantly reduce aviation’s contribution to climate change.

In addition to the big issue of aviation fuel, the World Economic Forum rightly points out that totally carbon-free aviation can only succeed if other areas of aviation, such as catering, infrastructure, and supply chain, also address the decarbonization of the aviation sector.

With our innovative, modular, and customizable platform, we are enabling our partners in aviation, rail, and events to also offer a sustainable and efficient beverage solution. Under the claim “We serve our planet”, we have set ourselves the goal of reducing the carbon footprint in these markets by at least 50% and the use of plastics and other packaging material by 80%.

At the same time, we will – together with an internationally acclaimed institution – aggregate and measure the environmental impact   across the entire value chain of our solution in a large-scale scientific study. From sourcing to production and delivery to disposal and more. Not only does this enable full ESG reporting, but it also provides valuable comparative
Insights.

SkyTender is thus the only certified beverage solution to date that has already anticipated the industry’s environmental goals and with which the achievement of “True Zero” is possible. In addition: unlike the “big solution” via new fuels such as hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and electric motors, which still requires long development times (hence the target date of 2050), our solutions can be implemented much faster and immediately demonstrate the industry’s will for real change. And they pay for themselves with every drink served because of significant optional savings primarily from lower cost of ingredients, especially water, and significantly reduced handling costs.  A study conducted with a major airline showed an ROI of between 400-500% over 8 years excluding the monetization through CO2 savings

We are very much looking forward to discussing these exciting developments with airlines, caterer and brand – for example from 30.11. – 03.12. at the IFSA EXPO in Long Beach. Our CEO, Wolfgang von Krogh, will be present.
